Music Generation Wicklow

Music Generation Wicklow provides high quality affordable and accessible performance music education for young people aged 18 years and under across the county. We currently provide music in many forms to 4700 young people through school programmes, after school tuition, supporting music ensembles, orchestras, community projects, summer music camps and performance opportunities.

We have 32 musicians delivering our diverse range of music programmes giving our students the valuable experience of learning from working and performing musicians. As well as projects based throughout the county our music hub in Blessington offers access to music tuition, mentorship, rehearsal rooms and recording for young people aged from 8 to 18 and we can provide access to a variety of instruments and musical equipment when necessary.

We also offer masterclasses, workshops and special projects throughout the year to enhance the musical experience of young people by working with composers and visiting guest musicians.

Music Generation Wicklow is funded by Music Generation, U2, The Ireland Funds, The Department of Education & Skills and local partners KWETB and Wicklow County Council.
