KWETB’s Mission is to ‘nurture a learning community, enriching educational experience, empowering the pursuit of excellence, whilst leading a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation’.
KWETB was established in 2013, following the amalgamation of County Kildare and Wicklow VECs in accordance with the Education and Training Boards Act, 2013. In November 2015, responsibility for the former FÁS training transferred from three ETBs (Dublin Dun Laoghaire, Longford Westmeath and Waterford Wexford.)

KWETB’s Executive Self Evaluation Report (ESER) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), identify and set out how the organisation will move to more integrated overarching Quality Assurance governance structures, policies and procedures in accordance with the QQI Core and Sectoral Statutory Quality Assurance Guidelines. These new structures will be published here as they are developed.
